“We’ve now stayed at Villa Cappellina twice - once in 2022 and just recently in 2024. It’s an incredible location located literally on the shores of lake Garda- the waves are metres from your balcony and the sound of water lapping outside is a beautiful thing to fall asleep to! It’s incredibly quiet and peaceful. There’s only 7 rooms and I rarely see anyone around. You could sit by the pool or on the private pier and barely see a soul. Not only that, the villa is quite out of town and feel a completely secluded part of the lake- something quite rare for Garda! There’s plenty of parking and a long and extravagant driveway. I have heard the villa was built for an Italian film director and so it feels more like a private house than a hotel. The huge living room area is beautiful. The breakfast this year was perhaps a little lacking in choice, and some parts of the villa feel a bit run down and need of renovation. This shouldn’t put you off however- I think it actually adds to the charm. We also took our dog and found it perfect! Can’t wait to return.”
“This place is so quaint and charming. You can tell everything was properly cleaned despite the property itself being historic. The gentleman that checked me in was super helpful and extremely nice. I was one of three guests that stayed there that night (the end of the “season”) and I was SO extremely pleased to see there was a gluten free section available with the buffet breakfast. I have Celiacs but never informed anyone of this prior. A whole spread made and displayed for just three guests—I was so impressed! The location and views are also unreal. Would love to come back here again”
“My husband and I have been regular guests for 8 years and we love the location, the view of the lake is fab, the size of the room we book year on year and the plentiful breakfast. We have noticed over the last couple of years that the current manager has definately improved the service and also our cleaner is very good and friendly. Both always very welcoming and do a fantastic job . We ll be back soon.”
“Gorgeous views of the sunset and mountains! We loved our balcony off of a very spacious room! Only complaint is there was very, very little water pressure making showering difficult and the deck needed a little TLC due to loose nails/screws. I would still recommend this hotel regardless of those things because of how beautiful the view was and how nice the service was!”
